My name is John and I’m a professional guitarist & tutor. I was born in Lancashire and have lived here all my life (so far)..

I teach at several schools in the northwest and spend most weekends travelling Europe with one of a few touring bands I play with. I teach a handful of private students in the week.

I can help you get from your first steps on the guitar to your first live performance which might be onstage or in your lounge. I can help you with whatever style you would like to play and whatever level you are currently at I’m sure i can help you to get the most out of your playing, spend your practice time more productively and get you playing the kind of music you want, quicker.

As well as  lead guitar improvisation skills and general live guitar performance, I also specialise in;

• RockSchool Grades
• Singing while playing
• Compostition
• Guitar based music theory
• Song writing

• tighten up your rhythm playing
• sing some folk songs
